If you have been looking for a great gaming experience that includes some nice online tutorials, this one has it.Naruto Online is a turn-based browser MMORPG where players plunge into tactical adventures in the Naruto universe. In my opinion, Naruto Mugen Ultimate is definitely worth playing. Plus, the game has a great amount of content and replay value. There is no real story in this game, but that's okay, because the combat is so intense. The music is fitting for a Naruto game, namely because this game features a great deal of heavy metal and rock music. It's still enjoyable to play though, so I guess it falls within the realm of 'quality' as such. The game has two difficulty settings, a beginner mode and an advanced mode, which I found to be a bit of a shock, especially since I'm not really that good at playing the more advanced stuff. As you battle your way through the various stages, you'll encounter stronger versions of your enemies such as the silver-haired dragon ninjas, the powerful giant Kai lan and of course, the legendary Naruto himself. There are various opponents you can fight, each with their own traits, skills and weapons, and mastering them all will create an awesome battle field. The controls are simple but they do allow for some nice special effects, such as using the shadow to move during battles to create an advantage. This mixture of old and new gameplay means that Naruto Mugen will constantly challenge your patience. Although the story isn't hugely unique, the characters are drawn with enough detail to have you playing with them for quite some time, which is important as you won't really want to get bored. The graphics are what you would expect from an old arcade classic, and as such there are numerous challenging levels to keep you interested.
Naruto Mugen is an addictive 2D fighter game based around the same basics as other games such as Street Fighter, Ninja Storm and Double Dragon so should you enjoy any of them, it'll probably also appeal to you.
